Jeannette & Brandt {Family Photographers Rexburg ID}

So here is the rest of Jeannette and Brandt's photos from their session the other day. I am running off of five hours of sleep, so I don't really know what to type. I think it is so hard when your wife and kids leave you at home by your self. I am so used to them around, that our house seems so empty. That's probably why I stayed up was late last night. Because Michelle wasn't there to say go to bed.

Anyways, enough of me rambeling on about myself. Here are the pictures, which is of course the real reason you're on here.

Newborn Carter {Rexburg Idaho Photographers}

A couple of days ago I put up the sneak preview of this little guys pictures. Here are some more for all those relatives and family members (especially grandparents.) I really think that we got a lot of great pictures, so I'll stop typing and let you take a look at them.

Baby Carter Sneak Peak {Rexburg Idaho, Photographers}

Yesterday we photographed this little guy. He was so cute and wide awake for most of the shoot. We did however get this cute little smile. I wanted to through these up so that grandmas could see.

Sneak Peak {Rexburg Photography}

Here is a little sneak peak for this cute little family I photographed on Monday. Their little girl was really cute and had huge smiles for me.

Claire & Micheal Family Photography {Rexburg Idaho}

So this last Saturday we were able to take pictures Micheal and Claire's family. They were so fun, and so nice. It was snowing outside, that's how it always seems to go in Rexburg, and we still got some great shots.

Can you tell that it was cold outside?

Before I took real pictures with these two, I asked them to make the silliest face they could. They were so cute.

Cold Weather Dressing Tips

With the weather turning colder there are some things you can do to keep a little warmer during the shoots. Here are some tips to have a more pleasant portrait photographing experience out in the cold.

Dress warm - Certain coats can look bulky and not make cute photographs, but others can look very nice for photographs - especially pea coats or coats that don't have brand naming written all over them or the sleeves. If anything, we can try a few without and then when its too cold we can take some with coats/beanies on. You may be surprised with how cute they turn out.

Layer - Long johns, or long sleeved onsies for the kids, work great! They are thermals that are meant to help keep your body heat close to your body and they have the added bonus of being compact so you don't have added bulkiness to pictures. Make sure to layer underneath sweaters. Throw on a cute scarf or jacket. The more layers the warmer you'll be.

Bring a blanket - Wrap your little ones up in a blanket in between shots to keep them warm. We shoot at multiple backdrops, so we can use a blanket while we are walking or moving around. I would suggest a blanket you wouldn't mind putting on a ground, so not a favorite.

Warm up in the car - If the kids are getting grumpy (or yourselves) because of the weather, don't hesitate to stop the shoot to warm up in the car for a minute or two.

If you are done, let us know - We are happy to keep shooting as long as you are. When you think you've had enough of the cold, don't be afraid to tell us. We are very flexible with our session allotment, especially during the winter months. The odds are we were still able to get some amazing pictures in, or we can re-schedule another quick session to try again for another (hopefully warmer) day.

Hope those tips help! We're excited to be working with you!

Bree and David {Engagement Rexburg Idaho Photography}

This last Saturday I was able to take some engagement pictures out at Monkey Rock. Monkey Rock is near Rexburg but I would say it is more like Sugar City area. Basically it is a little swimming hole with a water fall. It is basically out in the middle of no where so we got some wonderful pictures out in the beautiful Idaho country. This was the first time I really tried to do some silly shots, which I think turned out really fun.

I also tried my luck with a panoramic of the water fall. Photoshop merged it and I think it did a great job. Even with running water.

J Family {Rexburg Idaho Photography}

The other week we had a photo session out in downtown Rexburg, well as downtown as you can get. The family that we took pictures of were fun to work with and their daughter reminded me a lot of our son Jack.

I think the next two pictures are what reminds Jack so much. One second totally dismayed. I think this picture is cute.

And then totally happy when they get what they want.

C Family {Rexburg Photography}

The last week has been wonderful for photo shots. It hasn't been to cold, but it has definitely been fall weather and colors. I was able to go out to this families house and take their family pictures. I love Idaho and how the country looks, especially during the fall. So combine the beautiful country and their beautiful grounds and home, I think that we got some awesome photos.

Also I have to say that these kids were fun to photograph, and they were really helpful and patient with me. So here are their pictures.

Family Photography {Rexburg Id}

If you don't remember, the other week was completely freezing in Rexburg. Well Kali and her family braved the cold to take their family pictures. They were such a wonderful family to work with, and the kids were to cute. Especially when they were really wanting to go inside. Anyway here are their pictures.

So I thought this was to fun not to share. This is a sequential shot. I just love his faces and how it went from coy to look at me.
